We are proud to share that A. Seth Greenwald, D.Phil.(Oxon), Course Director of Current Concepts in Joint Replacement® (CCJR®) received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Society of Technology in Arthroplasty (ISTA) annual congress in Seoul Korea in September, 2017.
The ISTA organization was founded 30 years ago to encourage clinicians, scientists and representatives from industry from around the world to work together to advance the field of Arthroplasty surgery. In a letter to Dr. Greenwald announcing the award, Dr. S. David Stulberg, Managing Director for ISTA, writes:
“As a scientist and educator you have made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of arthroplasty technology and the education of generations of orthopaedic surgeons interested in obtaining a complete and up to date understanding of arthroplasty surgery. As a result, you have had a profound impact on the quality of arthroplasty care worldwide. Moreover, your inclusion of industry in your legendary meetings has provided a forum at which clinicians and scientists can comfortably and meaningfully interact. Your career has embodied the principles ISTA seeks to further. It is an honor for ISTA to recognize you for your many contributions to the field of arthroplasty surgery.”
