The Current Concepts Institute (CCI) is an independent, associated corporate whose purpose is to provide continuing medical education for members of the orthopaedic health care profession inclusive of surgeons, residents, nurses and manufacturers. Now in their second decade, the Current Concepts in Joint Replacement (CCJR) meetings are globally attended by over 2,000 orthopaedic surgeons and are the largest of their kind focusing on joint replacement. The meetings’ extensions go well-beyond their presentation, resulting in copyrighted educational media in the form of audio CDs, CD-ROMs and DVDs which all participants receive with the overage distributed to orthopaedic residency training programs around the world. CCI also serves as the editor of three globally read, peer-reviewed orthopaedic journal issues, which contain selected course papers. The meetings are placed here at this site, serving as a continual reference source for the study of contemporary, orthopaedic joint replacement.
